TRAP SHOOTING Trap shooting is held every Thursday night from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. and is open to the public.
We currently have two trap fields and are constructing a Skeet and 5 Stand course as well.
Trap rounds are $2.00 per game consisting of 25 shots. We only allow 7 1/2 shot and smaller
from the Trap field.

Never Shot Trap before?
Not a problem. Don't be intimidated, simply stop on down and ask for some help, our members are more
than willing to help out new trap shooters. The game basically consists of taking
5 shots at 5 different positions along the trap field (25 shots total). You get credit for each clay
pigeon ("bird") you break. After the individual in the first position has taken his 5th
shot the person scoring will announce "end" signalling the end of the first round.
After you take your 5th shot do not load your gun, because after the person in the 5th
position has finished his 5th shot the person scoring will announce "change" meaning
the group walks to the next position on the field and we never walk with a loaded gun.
After the group has rotated to the next position, the person who was in position five
and has moved to position one will announce "ready" indicating to the group that it
is okay to commence the game.
