Bird Program
Bird Chairman - David Craigue, (603)429-3006
The club boasts an active bird program and a large number of upland bird hunters. The club stocks the property with birds during the upland bird season in the Fall. We are members of the Worcester County League prison pheasant program and receive a fair amount of birds to stock throughout the season. The club is also designated as a licensed game preserve and holds several special upland bird hunts, typically prior to, and after, the regular upland bird season. The bird hunting members participate actively in these programs and ensure that they are run effeciently and safely. Become a member and come out and enjoy some of these great benefits!
Hunting on the club property
The club has over 450 acres available for hunting. A generous population of deer call our woods home. Along with a healthy turkey flock, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, grouse, small game, and yes, even a few bears. We also have quite a few moose walking around. Although there isn't a moose season in Mass. yet, you can still hunt them with your camera.
We actively manage our land and regularly have professional foresters survey the property and provide us with input on the best management of the land. As such, we have conducted a number of clear cuts recently to help facilitate the healthy growth of our forests. The property has several trail systems that you can use for hiking. Remember; what you bring in, is what you should bring out. Help us maintain the natural beauty of our property.
Much of our land is under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
